What’s The Best Low Carb Dessert?

When you’re on a low carb diet, for some of us, it can be very, very hard to overcome the idea that you can’t cram down cake, cookies, and pie anymore. I don’t know about you, but I used to ALWAYS make sure I had several different desserts on hand that I could munch on throughout the day and night.

Anyway, since I began a low carb lifestyle, I quickly found out what I could do for dessert/sweet tooth options. There isn’t a broad range of desserts out there that are low carb friendly, but I have one in particular that I’m surprised more low carb dieters don’t know about.

What am I referring to?

Sugar Free Jello with Natural Heavy Whipped Cream.

I have two words for this low carb dessert….simply amazing.

Honestly, I don’t think I could survive the low carb Atkins lifestyle without it.

Sure, there are a variety of sweet low carb bars, shakes, etc…but nothing compares to dishing out a HUGE bowl of sugar free strawberry jello topped with copius amounts of heavy whipped cream. YUMMY! And seriously, go crazy with it. You could make a meal out of it if you want (though, it’s not as filling as a steak), but it absolutely WILL crush your sweet tooth cravings.

Here is a quick recipe for making real whipped cream if you don’t have one handy:

14 oz. chilled heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp. Splenda® (or to taste)
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Whip the hell out of it.
